This page explains how TripAxle earns money, and the line that money does not cross.
Advertising, affiliate links and sponsorship
TripAxle is a commercial travel publication. It can carry:
- affiliate links — where TripAxle may earn a commission from a qualifying booking or transaction, at no extra cost to you;
- conventional display advertising, and advertising sold directly;
- clearly identified sponsorships of the site or a section, and newsletter sponsorships if a newsletter is added later;
- media partnerships and legitimate referral or data partnerships.
Anything commercial is kept visually separate from the editorial guidance and
labelled as advertising, sponsored, or a partner link. In the page code,
commercial and affiliate links are marked rel="sponsored".
Ordinary links to airports, rental companies, and official sources are
references and earn nothing.
The line
Payment does not buy TripAxle's editorial conclusions.
So TripAxle does not:
- accept payment for a favourable review, recommendation, ranking, or editorial conclusion;
- let a company pay to be described as “best”, or to be ranked above another;
- run paid editorial coverage without clearly labelling it as sponsored;
- let advertisers or partners write, rewrite, pre-approve, or otherwise control the independent guidance.
Which affiliate partners or commercial links TripAxle works with is a business decision. What that decision never touches is the advice itself — whether to rent at all, which approach fits your trip, and what to check before you book stay exactly as the guides say.
Where things stand today
TripAxle's current partner is Discover Cars, a car-rental comparison service. Selected guides — mainly the airport guides and a few booking-stage guides — carry a banner marked “Advertisement” and a “Compare cars” link. If you follow one and go on to book, TripAxle may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Other links on the site are plain references and earn nothing.
